SEOUL, Nov. 10 (Yonhap) -- K-pop girl group Aespa will stage solo concerts at Kyocera Dome in Osaka and Tokyo Dome in April next year, their agency SM Entertainment said Monday.
The announcement came as a surprise to fans during the group’s world tour stop at Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Tokyo on Oct. 8–9.
According to SM, Aespa will perform at Kyocera Dome on April 11–12, marking their first-ever solo concerts at the venue, followed by their third Tokyo Dome shows on April 25–26.
SM noted that Aespa made history in August 2023 by becoming the fastest overseas artist to perform at Tokyo Dome since debut, and the first foreign female act to hold Tokyo Dome concerts for two consecutive years.
“With the addition of Kyocera Dome—one of Japan’s five major domes—Aespa’s upcoming tour will showcase performances on an even larger scale,” the agency said.
Aespa is currently on a 10-show arena tour across major Japanese cities, each concert drawing over 10,000 fans. The group is also set to perform in Bangkok (November), Hong Kong (February), Macau (March) and Jakarta (April) as part of the tour.
In addition, Aespa will appear on Amazon Music Live on Oct. 13 (local time) to deliver a special performance.
