SEOUL, July 30 (Yonhap) -- Netflix has announced the production of the drama 'The Price of Confession,' casting actors Jeon Do-yeon, Kim Go-eun, Park Hae-soo, and Jin Seon-kyu, as revealed on the 30th.
'The Price of Confession' is a mystery thriller that follows the protagonist, Ahn Yoon-soo, as she struggles to clear her name after being falsely accused of murdering her husband. The release date has not yet been determined.
Jeon Do-yeon will portray Ahn Yoon-soo, an ordinary woman who suddenly finds herself on trial for her husband's murder. Kim Go-eun will play Mo-eun, a character known for her ability to easily read people's minds, earning her the nickname 'witch.'
Park Hae-soo will transform into Baek Dong-hoon, a prosecutor with a cold and unwavering belief in justice. Jin Seon-kyu will take on the role of Jang Jung-goo, a tenacious lawyer who assists Ahn Yoon-soo no matter the circumstances.
The drama will be directed by Lee Jung-hyo, known for his work on 'Doona!' (2023), 'Crash Landing on You' (2019), 'Romance is a Bonus Book' (2019), and 'The Good Wife' (2016). The script will be penned by Kwon Jong-kwan, who directed and wrote 'The Classified File' (2016) and 'Sad Movie' (2005).
