tvN to premiere Ma Dong-seok’s boxing reality show next month

SEOUL, Oct. 22 (Yonhap) -- TvN announced on Wednesday that “I Am Boxer,” a boxing-themed reality show planned and starring actor Ma Dong-seok, will premiere on Nov. 21.

“I Am Boxer” is a blockbuster boxing survival program personally designed by Ma, a world-renowned action star and boxing gym owner with 30 years of experience, to revive the spirit of K-boxing.

Marking his first-ever appearance in a variety show, Ma will take on the role of master, while singer Kim Jong-kook and TV personality Dex will serve as hosts. Actors Jang Hyuk, Julien Kang and Youk Jun-seo are among the participants who will step into the ring.

The show is produced by PD Lee Won-woong of the military survival series “Steel Troops” and writer Kang Suk-kyung of “Physical: 100.” The two previously collaborated on “Steel Troops” and “29 Billion: Marriage War.”
