SEOUL, Nov. 18 (Yonhap) -- Girl-group Weki Meki has returned to the music scene in about 1 year with their 5th mini album “I AM ME.” Thursday.
The members have poured their honest stories not only as a singer but also as someone in their 20s, according to their management agency Fantagio Music.
“This year is the band’s 4th anniversary of debut and also an year in which their youngest member Lucy has turned 20 as well. They will show you their improvements during the last 1 year through music and stage,” said the agency.
The album consists of 6 tracks including the title song “Siesta,” deep house dance song “Who am I,” and a funky house genre “Luminous.”
Member Kim Do-yeon took part in the overall construction and concept design. Ji Soo-yeon participated in writing the lyrics for side tracks, “Sweet Winter” and “One Day.”
The title song “Siesta” is a pop genre song with electronic and deep house features.
“Siesta means nap in Spanish. So the title contains the band’s ambition to jump to a new phase after a long sleep,” said the agency.
