SEOUL, Sept. 24 (Yonhap) -- Korean-American K-pop artist AleXa, formally known as Alexaundra Christine Schneiderman, will sing the U.S. national anthem at an MLB game.
The singer's agency ZB Label announced on Friday that AleXa will be the national singer during a match between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Diego Padres in Los Angeles on Sept. 29 (local time).
"I was able to get this honorable and happy opportunity to be part of a game I've only watched on TV," adding, "I'll do my best to become a singer who is loved worldwide like the Major League Baseball," AleXa said.
This will be AleXa's first official event in the United States, which is where the singer was born in.
On Oct. 1, AleXa will hold a fan signing event at Amoeba Music, a large American record store, for the first time as a K-pop artist since the pandemic.
