SEOUL, Aug. 12 (Yonhap) -- Global OTT giant Netflix said on Tuesday it will release the series "You and Everything Else," starring Kim Go-eun and Park Ji-hyun, next month.
The drama depicts the entangled friendship and rivalry of Eun-jung (Kim) and Sang-yeon (Park), who from their teens into their 40s have been each other’s closest friends and greatest admirers, yet also rivals and sometimes enemies.
A teaser poster released the same day features the tagline "Between envy and resentment," with the two characters standing before blurred images of each other. The trailer also reveals tense moments, with Sang-yeon hurling harsh words at Eun-jung, who responds with resentment.
The series is directed by Cho Young-min, known for "Do you like Brahms?" and "The interest of love."
"Companionship is the color of this work," Cho said. "Following Eun-jung and Sang-yeon’s lives, viewers may encounter their past selves, think of old friends, or see parallels with their own lives or those around them. I think it will be about understanding someone, forgiving them, and learning about oneself."
