SEOUL, December 14 (Yonhap) -- "People who came to see me, I feel like crying just thinking about seeing people who listen to my music."
Singer-song writer SAAY (real name Kwon So-hee) said during the interview she held at the building of Universal Music located in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on December 14 before her first solo concert "mise-en-scene" after her debut, "I put in so much effort preparing for this performance."
SAAY will be performing songs of different genres, such as R&B, rock, and more, including songs of her second album "S:INEMA" released in October, at the concert, which will be held on December 15 at Rolling Hall, Mapo-gu, Seoul.
SAYY said, "I told my fans to wear comfortable shoes through my social media," and talked about how enjoyable her concert will be saying, "There will be points that would relieve stress."
She also expressed her regret when she appeared on Mnet's entertainment program "Artistok Game," which recently ended.
SAAY said, "It was a team mission after I did my solo stage in the first round mission, but I thought it would have been nice if we had one more solo stage."
"I have a lot of regrets in regard to the first round because I had such a bad condition that day, I thought it'd be nice to have another solo performance to relieve that sadness, but I couldn't make it to the next round. Haha."
SAAY made her debut in July of 2017 with her first single "CIRCLE" and made her name known to the public by participating in idol groups' songs such as TWICE. AESPA and more. She also featured in the American hip-hop star Snoop Dog's song "Alright."
"It was an honor to be able to participate in the artist's global edition album, which I used to consider as an idol," SAAY recalled.
SAAY's goal for next year, after spending 2022 without a break from releasing regular albums, appearing on shows, and holding solo concerts, is to perform overseas.
"There have been many restrictions due to the pandemic, but we are getting a little freer, so I hope there will be many opportunities to meet overseas fans face-to-face.
