NCT’s Mark Drops Solo Track ‘Informer’ Featuring Lee Young-ji

SEOUL, Dec. 16 (Yonhap) -- Mark of NCT has released his new solo single Informer on Monday at 6 p.m., according to his agency, SM Entertainment.

Informer is a hip-hop track blending house-inspired chord progressions with heavy 808 basslines and intense synthesizers. The song features rapper Lee Young-ji, with both artists lyrically portraying their multifaceted personas straddling the worlds of K-pop and hip-hop through the metaphor of an "informer."

Mark shared, "This track stems from reflecting on my role within K-pop and realizing the many sides of my life. I felt that Lee Young-ji had a character similar to mine, so I asked her to feature, and she gladly agreed."

Looking ahead, Mark plans to release his first solo album in April next year.
