SEOUL, Feb. 21 (Yonhap) -- American singer-songwriter Conan Gray, who rose to stardom with his original songs “Maniac,” “The Other Side,” and “Heather,” will visit Korea to hold his very first solo concert at 8 p.m. on Feb. 28 (KST) at Seoul’s Olympic Park.

Born and raised in the U.S., Gray made himself known first as a YouTube at the age of 12 and made his debut as a singer with his first single “Idle Town” in 2017. His first LP, “Kid Krow,” released in 2020, successfully entered the U.S. Billboard Hot 200 and touched down in fifth place.

The 24-year-old singer received nationwide recognition in South Korea for his original songs “Memories” and “Maniac,” which deal with the daily matters of young generations that the MZers can easily relate to, such as love, separation, and loneliness. His sentiments and sympathetic lyrics caught the ears and hearts of the national fans and went viral.

Gray made his first-ever appearance in Korea as a headliner at the music festival “House of Wonder” that was held last August.

“Conan Gray will captivate his Korean fans with more diverse songs and attractions that he has never shown before on festival stages as it marks his very first solo gig in Korea,” the artist’s agency said.
