SEOUL, June 11 (Yonhap) -- In Sydney, Australia, a master class that showcases various charms of Korean food will be held for three days.
The Korean Cultural Center (Director Park Myung-soon) and the Korean Cultural Centre Australia (Director Kim Ji-hee) announced on Saturday that they will participate in the "Good Food and Wine Show," Australia's representative food festival, and hold a total of 12 "Korean Food Master Class" from the 24th to the 26th.
Chef Heather Jeong, a Korean food course instructor at the Cultural Center who actively introduces Korean food to local media, will host "Everything about Kimchi" on the 24th and 26th. Jeong will explain how to cook and store kimchi to the participants.
Participants can take their own kimchi home and enjoy it.
Chef Lee Chung-jae, a Korean food chef working in Darwin and Adelaide, Australia, will host "Everything about pancakes" using various ingredients from the 24th to the 25th.
Lee will make kimchi pancakes and shrimp pancakes and provide them to participants, and also reveal the secret of making special sauce for dipping and eating pancakes.
Sharon Flynn, a fermentation expert in Melbourne, will host "Everything about fermentation: Kimchi seasoning and kimchi juice" from the 25th to the 26th. The chef will use various ingredients, including red pepper powder, to make kimchi seasoning, and also teachs participants how to make "Kimchi juice."
Starting with Sydney, the "Good Food and Wine Show" will be held in Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.
