APink's Park Cho-rong sues childhood friend for spreading false information

SEOUL, April 1st (Yonhap) -- Play M Entertainment announced that they have sued K-pop girl group APink's Park Cho-rong's childhood friend, who threatened to reveal false information about the singer.

The management agency issued an official statement on the same day saying, "We sued Park Cho-rong's friend to the Gangnam Police Station on charges for defamation through Wonil law firm.

According to Play M Entertainment, the singer's childhood friend recently called Park Cho-rong to retire from the entertainment industry, threatening to reveal assault issues that had not actually happened as well as Cho-rong's personal life.
