SEOUL, Sept. 2 (Yonhap) -- BOYNEXTDOOR is set to unveil their pre-release track "Not For Parents" from their new album on the 2nd.
BOYNEXTDOOR (Sung Ho, Ri Woo, Myung Jae Hyun, Tae San, Lee Han, Un Hak) will release the audio and music video for "Not For Parents," a track from their upcoming mini-album 19.99, at 6 PM today. The song is a hip-hop track characterized by a simple yet powerful beat, depicting a late-night escapade. Myung Jae Hyun, Tae San, and Un Hak contributed to the lyrics and composition, infusing the track with playful energy.
"Not For Parents" is noteworthy as BOYNEXTDOOR's first hip-hop track, generating anticipation for the group's unique take on the genre, filled with their signature exuberance and free-spirited energy.
The members of BOYNEXTDOOR took a hands-on approach in creating "Not For Parents," embedding their individuality into the song. The unique title was suggested by Tae San, and the lyrics are based on the members' actual experiences. After choosing the title and theme, they discussed moments they couldn't share with their parents and turned those stories into lyrics.
The music video for "Not For Parents" humorously portrays the members' adventurous late-night escape, featuring an unpredictable storyline and kitschy direction.
The mini-album 19.99 will include seven tracks, including the title track "Nice Guy" and the pre-released "Not For Parents," reflecting the thoughts and concerns of those at the age of 19.99.
