NAMWON, Nov. 1 (Yonhap) -- Namwon, a city in North Jeolla Province, announced Monday that it will hold the "2021 Night of Namwon & Heritage Story," a midnight cultural property experience event, at Gwanghanruwon Garden between Nov. 5-6.
At the event, about 20 different cultural programs will be held at night under diverse themes and concepts.
Visitors will be able to enjoy the night scenary of the Gwanghanruwon Garden as well as cultural performances, such as the Jade Emperor parade, performances of traditional Korean farmers' music or "Nongak" in Korean, percussion performance, and laser shows.
Events such as photo exhibitions in Gwanghanruwon, Joseon clothing experiences, and tasting Namwon food will also be held.
To prevent COVID-19, some programs will receive applications for participation in advance.
"We hope everyone will enjoy the night scenery and performances at Gwanghanruwon to relax their tired bodies and mind from COVID-19," a city official said.
