SEOUL, January 3 (Yonhap) -- Busan Cultural Center will hold the Vienna Boys Choir New Year musical concert on January 29, 4 p.m.

The Vienna Boys Choir prepared a program to celebrate the 525th anniversary of its foundation.

The Vienna Boys Choir will present music that shows the history of the past 525 years, including choruses and motets, their representative repertoires, songs, waltz, polka, and folk songs and film music from around the world.

It will start with Mozart's "Eine kleine Nachtmusik," bring in choruses, songs, film music, and world folk songs, and wrap up its New Year's greetings with Strauss' waltz.

The Vienna Boys Choir, along with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and the Vienna State Opera, is considered one of the world's best boys' choirs that have maintained the Vienna Palace Orchestra's reputation.

The Vienna Boys Choir, which has shared the history of classical music through the breath of countless musicians for 525 years, is listed as an intangible heritage designated by UNESCO in recognition of their unique singing tradition, a world-class cultural heritage itself.

It has also had more than 150 performances in 35 cities in Korea over the past 50 years since the first performance in 1969.

Currently, several Korean members are also affiliated, and whenever they perform in Korea, they sang songs for Korean audiences such as "Arirang" and "A Nostalgic Geumgangsan Mountain" to impress them.
