SEOUL, July 22 (Yonhap) -- In Boryeong, South Chungcheong Province, where the 2022 Boryeong Sea Mud Expo and the 25th Mud Festival are in full swing, various events and national sports competitions are being held, adding to the enthusiasm.

According to Boryeong City on Friday, the Sea Mud Expo and Mud Festival, which started onJuly 16 and continues until August 15, is filled with people everyday.

The first international maritime event in the west coast region of South Korea was held under the theme of "rediscovery of the ocean, the future value of mud!" and had 7 exhibition halls, including Sea Mud Theme Pavilion, Sea Mud Wellness Pavilion, Sea Mud & New Industry Pavilion, Marine Mud Experience Center, Marine Leisure & Tourism Pavilion, Marine Mud Video Hall, and Specialty Products Promotion Hall in operation.

The Boryeong Mud Festival, which was held for the first time in three years due to the outbreak of COVID-19, is also showing success with 38 different programs.

The night view of Daecheon Beach near the fairground and festival is particularly eye-catching.

The busking performances and cultural events are held from 7 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at sunset, mud, and fountain plazas at the beach.

On Friday, the World Miss Business Vietnam pageant will be held, while on July 23, the Mud 22 Beatbox K with Ulala Session will be held. On August 2, Mud & Ballad will be held, while on August 6, the Mud Rock Concert will be held at the special beach stage.
