SEOUL, Apr. 21 (Yonhap) – S. Korean film “8 Suspects,” directed by filmmaker Oh In-chun, has been invited to the U.S. WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival, according to the production company Kinemafactory on Apr. 21.
A total of 30 feature films were nominated for the “Remi Award” and “8 Suspects” is the only Korean film among them.
“8 Suspects” is a historical mystery film that depicts the story of 8 Joseon elites, who were accused as leading spies, gathering in one space amid a conspiracy to disrupt Joseon’s independence at the end of Japanese colonial era in 1944.
The movie will be officially released in Korea in the latter half of this year.
