SEOUL, April 11 (Yonhap) -- Pledis Entertainment announced on the 11th that the debut album of K-pop rookie group TWS has sold over 500,000 copies.
According to the album sales aggregation site Circle Chart, TWS's first mini-album 'Sparkling Blue,' released on January 22nd, has sold 502,355 copies as of last month, March 31st.
Considering that sales in January were 280,000 copies, this means an additional 220,000 copies were sold over the two to three months of February and March, marking steady album sales performance.
The title track of 'Sparkling Blue,' titled 'The First Encounter Didn't Go as Planned,' continues to maintain its popularity on major domestic music charts even after the official promotional activities have ended.
The title song is characterized by emotional lyrics and refreshing melodies, showcasing TWS's unique genre of 'Boyhood Pop.'
