Lee Yu-ri·Lee Min-young·Yoon So-yi to star as friends in ‘The Witch is Alive’

SEOUL, Feb. 7 (Yonhap) -- Actresses Lee Yu-ri, Lee Min-young, and Yoon So-yi will star as friends of the same age in TV Chosun’s new drama “The Witch is Alive” (translated).

The drama is a black comedy series about three friends who have someone they want to kill at the age of 40.

The three each play a woman in their 40s with a different story. Lee Yu-ri plays Gong Ma-ri, a housewife with a famous husband and a smart daughter, Lee Min-young is Chae Hee-su, the daughter-in-law of a rich business family, and Yoon So-yi is Yang Jin-ah, who received hundreds of millions of insurance money after the death of her husband.

Producer Kim Yoon-chul who directed the drama “My Lovely Sam-soon” and “The Lady in Dignity” will return with the series “The Witch is Alive” (translated title), which will air in late May.
