SEOUL, Sept. 3 (Yonhap) -- Following K-pop boy group Enhypen, where five out of seven members have been diagnosed with the coronavirus, three members from the five-member band N.Flying have also tested positive, adding to the series of confirmed cases within idol groups.

"Lee Seung-hyub, Yoo Hwe-seung, and Seo Dong-sung were confirmed to have contracted the coronavirus today. The members are undergoing self-quarantine and taking the necessary measures in accordance with the health authorities," N.Flying's agency FNC Entertainment said Friday.

The singers who did not feel well took the self-test kit the day before and were tested positive. The members then immediately took the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test, which confirmed the results today.

The remaining members Kim Jae-hyun and Cha Hun, were tested negative through the self-test kit and are waiting for the results of the PCR test, FNC Entertainment added.

"Kim Jae-hyun and Cha Hun will also immediately suspend all scheduled activities and start self-quarantine," the agency said.

"We will put the health and safety of the artists and staff as our priority, and do our best to make sure to help N.Flying recover quickly," FNC Entertainment said. "We apologize for causing concern to many people, and we will sincerely cooperate with the health authorities' request and instructions."

Debuting in 2015 with the song "Awesome," N.Flying enjoyed its popularity with young-sentimental band music such as "Rooftop," "Oh really.," and "Spring Memories."

As the entertainment industry continues to be hit by the fourth wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, a number of idol singers have started to contract the coronavirus including five members of Enhypen, who were recently confirmed to be tested positive.
