SEOUL, March 27 (Yonhap) -- "As a citizen living in Korea, I believe it's our role to come out as representatives, introduce homes, and provide information."

MBC entertainment program 'Where is My Home', which began its first broadcast on the last day of March 2019, is celebrating its 5th anniversary.

Comedian Jang Dong-min, who has been appearing since the first broadcast, emphasized during a press conference held on the 27th at the MBC studio in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, "I've been surprised by the doubling or tripling of house prices over the past 5 years, but I am trying my best to convey information as honestly and objectively as possible."

'Where is My Home' is a program where celebrities put in effort to find homes on behalf of ordinary people who request help in finding a home by setting certain conditions.

This entertainment program, which brought real estate, a national concern, into entertainment, introduces attractive properties from all over the country by selecting various clients and regions.

Jang Dong-min said, "There are neighborhoods we've visited several times already, and during breaks in filming, we often talk among ourselves, saying 'Remember how much this house cost at the beginning.'" He added, "There are many properties that have doubled or tripled in price, and we are also concerned about how to respond to such price changes. We're cautious not to make viewers feel uncomfortable."

He further stated, "Although we are surprised time and time again, we still try to convey information as openly as possible without hiding anything."

Entertainers who have gained popularity for their strong vitality in other variety shows, such as Park Na-rae, Kim Sook, and Jang Dong-min, are playing a role in adding stability to 'Where is My Home'.

The cast meticulously checks details such as the number of gas burners, water pressure, whether home appliances like washing machines and refrigerators are provided, whether the sink and toilet are not cheaply made, and how far facilities and transportation are from the home.

Park Na-rae expressed confidence, saying, "Since it's already been 5 years, I've picked up a lot of things." She said, "I've learned why 'Starbucks districts' are popular, why homes with good natural light are important, and what it means to have elementary, middle, and high schools nearby." She added, "Over the past 5 years, I've seen various aspects of life, and I will continue to make efforts to adapt flexibly to the changing trends of the times."

Kim Sook said, "These days, many programs come and go, but I think 'Where is My Home' is a firmly rooted program." She urged, "We are also preparing new segments, so please show your interest."

Director Jung Da-hee emphasized, "We direct the program with a sense of responsibility, knowing that the information we provide could be a standard for someone." She continued, "These days, there seem to be many clients who want to live according to their own standards." She added, "The meaning of self in the eyes of our production team is 'a home that suits me'. We want to show the lives of people living in homes that are true to themselves, rather than homes that others say are good."
