SEOUL November 28 (Yonhap) -- Season for end of the year award ceremony has returned.

Preparation process of finding emcees for the drama Awards, Music Awards, Entertainment Awards and various award ceremonies held by individual broadcasting providers are in process.

According to the TV industry on Monday, South Korean broadcasting provider KBS, MBC, and SBS are finalizing their contract with emcees for their end of the year celebration and award shows.

“KBS Song Festival 2022” which will be the first of the festivals to kick off on December 16 will feature emcees that were very active within programs of KBS.

South Korean comedian Kim Shin-young who is continuing on as the main emcee of the program “National Singing Contest” after the recent passing of emcee Song Hae, since June of 2022, emcee of Music Bank Jang Won-young of K-pop girl group IVE, and actor Na In-woo known for his role in variety program “2 Days and 1 Night” will be appearing as the main emcees for the “2022 KBS Song Festival.”

“2022 SBS Entertainment Award” which will kick off on December 17 will feature stars from SBS’ headline variety shows.

TV personal Tak Jae-hoon known for his appearance in “My Little Old Boy,” “Dolsing Fourmen” and more, South Korean model Lee Hyun-yi who is currently appearing at “Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You are My Destiny,” “Shooting Stars” and more, and finally South Korean comedian Jang Do-yeon will take the stage as main emcees of the festival.

“2022 SBS Music award” which will take place on the night of Christmas eve will feature actor and K-pop idol Cha Eun-woo, IVE’s Ahn Yoo-jin will participate as the head emcee.

South Korean broadcasting provider MBC will showcase TV personals with extensive relationship throughout their end of the year award ceremony.

“2022 MBC Korean Music Festival” which will take place on December 31, will feature K-pop singer and actress Im YoonA, singer and actor Lee Jun-ho and TV personal Jang Sung-kyu.

“2022 SBS Entertainment award” will feature TV personal Jun Hyun-moo for the fifth consecutive years, along with K-pop duo Dvichi’s member Kang Min-kyung, and actor Lee Yi-kyung. Moreover “2022 Drama Awards” which will air on the night of December 31, will feature TV personal Kim Sung-joo for four consecutive years.

Some of the award ceremonies are still negotiating with the final candidates of emcees for their appearances.
