SEOUL, April 9 (Yonhap) -- K-pop boy group EPEX has returned with their first regular album, showcasing high completeness and solid confidence.
On the afternoon of the 9th, EPEX (Wish, Keum Dong-hyun, Mu, A-Min, Baekseung, Ayden, Yewang, Jeff) held a media showcase to celebrate the release of their first regular album 'Youth Chapter 1: Youthful Days' at Blue Square in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
Debuting with their first regular album in their third year, EPEX shared their impressions, stating, "We always put our best effort into album work, but releasing a regular album carries a weight of its own. We prepared diligently with the members, just like we did for our debut."
The first regular album 'Youth Chapter 1: Youthful Days' is the first album in a three-part series depicting the youthful journey of EPEX, who have all reached adulthood this year with members Ayden, Yewang, and Jeff. The series title 'Youthful Days' represents the brilliant yet realistically depicted concerns, dreams, and love of youths akin to the vibrant scenery of spring.
The album includes a total of 8 songs, including the title track 'Youth2Youth,' coupling song 'Breathe in Love,' the hip-hop track 'Dominate' by the team's rap unit (Keum Dong-hyun, Baekseung, Ayden, Jeff), the R&B ballad 'My Secret' by the vocal unit (Wish, Mu, A-Min, Yewang), 'Graduation Day' released in February, hybrid rock track 'KILLSHOT,' grand emotional track 'Painkiller,' and the lively style of 'Lay Up.'
Baekseung revealed, "We're writing the album around different keywords. The major theme of the three-part series seems to be exploring the meaning of youth. The keyword for this album is 'secret.' The keyword for the next album will likely be 'choice.' We'll reveal the final keyword for the next comeback."
EPEX will release their first regular album 'Youth Chapter 1: Youthful Days' at 6 p.m. on the same day.
