SEOUL, October 13 (Yonhap) -- "Busan is so beautiful. It is a city enough to hold the 2030 World Expo. 
 
50 international and Korean BTS fans (ARMY) participated in a plogging (jogging, garbage picking) event to clean up Gwangalli Beach in Busan and felt Busan on October 13, two days before the group BTS's Busan concert held to support the city's bid to host the World Expo in 2030. 
 
Fans who came from abroad to visit Busan for the BTS Busan concert participated in the event held by the non-profit organization "EARHT SAVE" after seeing the tweet made by the organization. 
 
Most of the fans here are visiting Korea for the BTS concert and are touring Busan, BTS's Jimin's home town, to celebrate his birthday. 


Shelly from the U.K. met up with Yonhap News Agency and said, "I have been to Seoul before, but it's my first time in Busan, and I was surprised to see the beautiful beach," and added, "There are still two days left until the concert, but I arrived in advance to attend the good event to pick up marine waste." 
 
Sety Guchi, an actor from Japan said that he visited Busan for the Busan International Film Festival but decided to stay until the BTS concert. 

 

Sety Guchi, who participated in this event celebrating Jimin's birthday said, "It's such a shame that I could not get the ticket for the concert, but I'm planning to watch the show at the Haeundae beach through the screen." He added, "I realized that Busan is a city enough to hold the 2030 World Expo." 

 

The participants started working around Gwangalli, holding the purple cotton tote bag, the official color of BTS. 
 
Park Seon-hwa, the CEO of EARHT SAVE said, "The global warming has been worsening everywhere and the marine debris problem is especially serious." She added, "This plogging event was planned to let the world know this problem with the international ARMYs who came to Busan for the concert."
