SEOUL, Mar. 31 (Yonhap) – S. Korean actress Cha Ye-ryun will transform into a modern version of Cinderella in KBS 2TV's new daily drama "Golden Mask(translated)."
KBS announced on Mar. 31 that it has confirmed the cast of Cha Ye-ryun, Na Young-hee, and Lee Hwi-hyang to lead the drama.
“Golden Mask” depicts the story of a tragedy occurred from false desires and greed, and shows three women finding the answer to their lives in a mad fight
Cha Ye-ryeon plays the role of Yoo Soo-yeon, a real-life Cinderella who gives hope to ordinary unmarried women. Yoo is a character who is strong and not easily defeated by others.
Na Young-hee plays Cha Hwa-young, full of greed and desire to protect her lives as the the upper class, while Lee Hwi-hyang plays Go Mi-sook, a private moneylender in Myeong-dong who also runs the franchise restaurant.
The drama is a collaborative work of director Eo Su-seon, who produced the dramas "Gracious Revenge” and “Sunny Again Tomorrow” and writer Kim Min-ju, who wrote "Sunny Again Tomorrow," and will be aired following “Love Twist.”
