SEOUL, September 18 (Yonhap) -- Singer Park Jeong-un, who produced hit songs such as "If the Same Night Today" in the 90s, passed away at age 57 due to a disease on September 17. 
 
The deceased, born in 1965, died at Asan Medical Center in Seoul, where he was hospitalized for a planned liver surgery due to a worsening physical condition due to cirrhosis and diabetes.
 
Singer Park Jeong-un made his debut in 1989 with his first album "Who, Me?" and  gained attention in the music industry as the album side track "When Tomorrow Comes" gains popularity which was released in collaboration with Oh Seok-jun and Jang Pil-soon .
 
He became a popular singer at the beginning of the 1990's, representing the year, as his song "If the Same Night Today," released in 1992, became sensational. 
 
He continued releasing hit songs such as "The Distant Future" (1992), "Only For You" (1993), and many more.
