"Youth of May" is an authentic melodrama set in Gwangju in May 1980. Taking advantage of the recent "retro" trend, the drama is receiving favorable reviews by portraying love through somewhat of an old-fashioned way that is hard to see in modern dramas.
Starring young actors such as Lee Do-hyun, Go Min-si, Keum Sae-rok and Lee Sang-i, the drama has expanded its audience to some extent due to the authentic melodrama genre.
"Doom at Your Service," which aired on May 10th, is a fantasy work about the romance between actor Seo In-guk, who plays a middle manager of God, and actress Park Bo-young, a human who lives in a 100-day limit life.
Amid the recent slump of romantic comedies, "Doom at Your Service" added fantasy elements and also drew attention by starring actress Park Bo-young, who holds a solid fan base.
