SEOUL, July 7 (Yonhap) -- IZ*ONE, a project girl group that debuted from a Korean reality audition program, has chosen to continue individual activities instead of reuniting as a group.
"Recently, we have had various conversations with the management agencies of the 12 members, however we couldn't reach to an agreement," CJ ENM said on Wednesday. "We ask for a lot of encouragement and support for the members' future careers regardless of this decision."
IZ*ONE is a 12-member girl group that debuted through the Mnet audition program "Produce 48" in 2018 and has been active for two and a half years before disbanding in April.
In order for the members to reunite, some fans started crowdfunding in April and collected more than 3.1 billion won. While CJ ENM said they were discussing other possibilities, the members have eventually decided to go their individual ways.
