SEOUL, June 21 (Yonhap) -- K-pop girl group TWICE ranked sixth on the Billboard 200 main album chart with its 10th mini-album "Taste of Love" on the 20th (KST), according to Billboard.

Last December, the girl group soared 66 ranks from No.72 into the top 10 with its second regular album "Eyes Wide Open."

It is the second time for a K-pop girl group to reach the top 10 on the charts after BLACKPINK ranked 2nd in the past.

TWICE's "Taste of Love" sold 46,000 album copies, according to Billboard.

Among them, the traditional album sales stood at 43,000, making it the highest album sales this week.

TWICE, who is currently receiving tremendous popularity in Korea and Japan, signed a partnership with Republic Records, a label affiliated with Universal Music Group, last February and started targeting the U.S. music market.

They have been expanding their fandom step by step by releasing English songs and appearing on famous talk shows.

In June 2020, the group's ninth mini-album "More & More" debuted on the Billboard 200 chart as No.200 and have showed a strong growth with "Eyes Wide Open" in December.

Twice also performed the title song "Alcohol-Free" for the first time through the U.S. talk show "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."

Immediately after its release, the song reached No. 65 on the Global Top 200 chart from Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform.
