N. Korea's vice sports minister leaves for Russia to attend BRICS sports meeting
SEOUL -- North Korea's vice sports minister has left for Russia to attend an international sports meeting, state media reported Friday, after the leaders of North Korea and Russia signed a treaty to expand cooperation.
A delegation, headed by Vice Sports Minister Kim Yong-gwon, departed for Russia the previous day to take part in a so-called BRICS Plus meeting of sports ministers in Kazan, according to the Korean Central News Agency.

SEOUL -- North Korean leader Kim Jong-un gave a pair of Pungsan hunting dogs to Russian President Vladimir Putin as a gift after their summit talks in Pyongyang, the North's state media reported Thursday, the same breed Kim had gifted former President Moon Jae-in with back in 2018.
Kim presented the dogs to Putin while on a stroll in the garden of the Kumsusan Guest House after they signed an agreement on boosting their relations to a "comprehensive strategic partnership" at their summit on Wednesday, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said.

SEOUL -- North Korea and Russia have agreed to offer military assistance "without delay" if either is attacked under a new partnership treaty signed after this week's summit, Pyongyang's state media reported Thursday.
The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) disclosed the Korean-language full text of the comprehensive strategic partnership treaty that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and Russian President Vladimir Putin signed Wednesday after their talks in Pyongyang.

SEOUL -- Russian President Vladimir Putin gave another Russian luxury vehicle as a gift to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un on the occasion of their summit in Pyongyang, according to news reports Wednesday.
Putin gave Kim a new Aurus vehicle and a tea set, and these items were among the many gifts exchanged between the two leaders, Russia's TASS news agency reported, quoting Yury Ushakov, Putin's foreign policy adviser, as saying.

SEOUL -- Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un signed a comprehensive strategic partnership treaty calling for mutual assistance if either is attacked Wednesday as they held summit talks in Pyongyang.
Putin also said Russia does not rule out military and technical cooperation with North Korea in line with the partnership treaty, fueling concern the two countries could further deepen their already serious military cooperation, including in Russia's war in Ukraine.

SEOUL -- Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit North Korea this week, Pyongyang's state media reported Monday, amid deepening military cooperation with North Korea following his summit with the North's leader Kim Jong-un in September.
Putin will "pay a state visit" to North Korea for a two-day trip starting Tuesday at the invitation of the North's leader Kim, the Korean Central News Agency said in a one-sentence dispatch.
