SEOUL, May 11 (Yonhap) -- K-pop girl group (G)I-DLE's Yuqi will release her first digital solo in three years after her debut.
According to (G)I-DLE's agency, Cube Entertainment, Yuqi will release her first digital single "A page" in Korea and worldwide at 6 p.m. on May 13th.
Yuqi, known as the husky-toned vocalist of the group and is the first member to drop a solo single since (G)I-DLE debuted in 2018.
The first track from Yuqi's single is "Giant," a pop rock song about a girl who doesn't give up from her wounds, worries, and fears but instead moves on like a giant.
"Bonnie & Clyde," the second track falls under the dance pop genre, featuring lyrics that is expected to remind the listeners of a scene from a movie and melodies that were popular in the 90s.
Regarding the single, Cube Entertainment said, "The album features a strong and powerful sound that contains the story of Yuqi's growth and her endless possibilities as a singer."
