Test drive of Hyundai Motor-backed Ioniq 5 robotaxi

An Ioniq 5 robotaxi, a Hyundai Motor Group-backed fully driverless vehicle, starts to test-drive out of the technical center of its U.S.-based autonomous driving joint venture, Motional, in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Jan. 8, 2026. The vehicle, based on the South Korean automaker's Ionic 5 electric car, and jointly developed by Hyundai and Motional, will be put into commercial service this year. (Yonhap)
