SEOUL, May 28 (Yonhap) -- K-pop girl group Dreamcatcher
will be performing on the stage for the global music festival "Primavera
Sound" in Spain next year.
Dreamcatcher Company announced that "Dreamcatcher
will participate in the 'Primavera Sound' festival which will be held in
Barcelona, Spain in June 2022."
Dreamcatcher was the first and only K-pop
idol singer(s) to be invited to next year's "Primavera Sound."
"Primavera Sound" is Spain's
leading music festival and one of the world's largest festivals.
In particular, next year's festival will be
held the first after being put on hold for two years due to the pandemic, and an
impressive lineup was created in order to mark the 20th anniversary of the
festival. World-class musicians such as Massive Attack, The Strokes, and Dua
Lipa were listed as the lineups.
Dreamcatcher, who debuted in 2017, has a large
foreign fan base as the group is known
performing with concepts that are hard to find within the K-pop industry,
such as intense metal sounds and mysterious Gothic style.
Since the group's debut, Dreamcatcher has toured overseas, and since then, they have toured from Asia, Europe, North and South America to Oceania.
