Ex-lawmaker released on parole
Youn Kwan-suk, a former lawmaker, is released on parole from the Seoul Detention Center in Uiwang, about 25 kilometers south of Seoul, on June 30, 2025, after serving more than half of his two-year prison term for his involvement in a cash-for-votes scandal surrounding the Democratic Party's 2021 chairman election.
