Thermal power plant in Yeosu catches fire

YEOSU, South Korea, April 7 (Yonhap) -- A section of a thermal power plant caught fire Monday in the southern coastal city of Yeosu, firefighters said.

Flames erupted at the power plant as of 9:28 a.m. in Yeosu, located 316 kilometers south of Seoul, but no casualties have been reported so far, according to firefighting authorities.

Firefighters rushed to the scene and tried to extinguish the fire.
