Security tightened for APEC gatherings
A rescue helicopter is on standby near the Gyeongju Hwabaek International Convention Center, the main venue of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, in Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province, southeastern South Korea, on Oct. 28, 2025, the opening day for the APEC CEO Summit set for Oct. 29-31 in the run-up to the APEC summit on Oct. 31-Nov. 1.
