Star actress Jun Ji-hyun firmly denies false rumors of divorce

SEOUL, June 3 (Yonhap) -- A-list actress Jun Ji-hyun has recently denied rumors of divorce.

Jun Ji-hyun's agency Culture Depot said, "The rumors about Jun Ji-hyun's divorce and separation, which were mentioned in a video on the YouTube channel Garo-Sero Research Institute (Gaseyeon), are absurd and false."

"Currently, false rumors are spreading imprudently online, and we have confirmed that intentional malicious rumors derived from the GaSeyeon channel and 'Jirashi' are being posted," Culture Depot said.

"We want to establish the truth about the distorted facts and we will take strong legal measures against the spread of false information through articles and comments," the agency emphasized.

Earlier, GaSeyeon, a YouTube channel run by well-known lawyer Kang Yong-suk and journalist Kim Se-ui, claimed that Jun had been separated from her husband for six months.

Jun married a businessman in 2012 and has two sons. The actress will star in the Netflix drama "Kingdom: Ashin Of The North" and tvN drama "Cliffhanger."
