2024년 5월 8일 KBS 예능 'MAKEMATE1' 제작발표회가 KBS 신관 웨딩홀에서 진행됐다.
'메이크 메이트 원'(이하 'MA1')은 '꿈꾸던 무대를 만들기 위해(MAKE) 친구(MATE)와 하나(ONE)되는 시간'이라는 의미를 담은 프로그램으로 36명의 다국적 참가자들이 아이돌이라는 꿈을 목표로 달려가는 과정을 그린 프로그램이다.
