Only two places in the world, Inside Earth’s Doomsday Seed Vault l Global Seed Vault in S. Korea

The Baekdudaegan Global Seed Vault opened in 2015 in Bonghwa, North Gyeongsang Province. Bonghwa has been historically known as one of the safest regions from natural and wartime threats in South Korea. The annals of Joseon dynasty were stored in five different regions to protect them from wars, and the “Taebaeksan Sago” (historical depository) located near the Seed Vault was one of them. This shows that the Baekdudaegan Global Seed Vault was built in the safest place you could find in the Korean Peninsula.
