The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) recently announced that it will now allow foreign language and animated films to compete for best picture at the Golden Globes. This is part of the HFPA’s efforts to bring “meaningful reforms” to the awards show, after NBC announced that it will not broadcast the 2022 Golden Globes due to all the controversy surrounding the HFPA’s lack of diversity and ethical problems.
