SEOUL, Sept. 2 (Yonhap) -- Kim Joo-young, the newly appointed CEO of ADOR, the agency behind girl group NewJeans, emphasized that her top priority is organizational stability as she seeks to reassure the company's employees.

According to the music industry on the 2nd, Kim sent an email to ADOR staff on her first day, July 27th, stating her commitment to meeting with employees frequently to discuss and share progress on how to facilitate smooth and rational operations.

Kim, an HR expert who has previously held key positions at Yuhan-Kimberly and Krafton, also serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at ADOR's parent company, HYBE.

She clarified that ADOR would follow HYBE's principle of separating production from management, with former CEO Min Hee-jin stepping down but continuing as an internal director and in charge of producing NewJeans.

Kim acknowledged that the process of addressing current issues and restructuring might bring unavoidable changes but assured that the focus would remain on supporting the growth and success of ADOR's artists and employees.

Kim reportedly explained the reasons behind the leadership change in online and offline meetings with ADOR staff on July 28th, where questions regarding the approval process and contract management were addressed. Following the leadership transition, ADOR has adopted Slack for work communication, moving away from KakaoTalk, which had been a source of controversy during an audit that revealed sensitive personal conversations.

ADOR plans to re-investigate allegations of workplace sexual harassment and bullying involving a former employee, as well as claims of attempts to cover up these incidents.

The company also intends to work closely with Min Hee-jin on NewJeans' production activities, despite her objections to the terms surrounding her removal as CEO and her ongoing role with the group.

Min has expressed strong opposition, citing concerns over unfair contractual terms and potential harassment based on alleged contract violations.
