SEOUL, Aug. 7 (Yonhap) -- (G)I-DLE’s Soyeon clarified that her mention of the end of her exclusive contract during the group's concert on the 3rd was not an impulsive act. On her social media on the 6th, Soyeon stated, "I neither wrote lies nor hid the (contract termination) performance from the company. We rehearsed it dozens of times in front of everyone, creating the stage together."
During her solo performance at the group's "iDOL" concert held at the KSPO Dome in Seoul on the 3rd, Soyeon altered the rap lyrics to "November contract termination, who can stop me?" Cube Entertainment initially responded after the performance, explaining, "All members are due for re-contracting next year, and the lyrics were just part of the performance."

However, as controversy continued over whether the performance was pre-discussed, Soyeon criticized the company's inadequate response and expressed her commitment to working towards mutual growth. She remarked, "Having gone through many things together for over 10 years, I don't hold negative feelings toward the company just by reading the news. But I feel this situation will be a chance to recognize the company's insufficient response once again."
She added, "I will also strive to move forward together. I hope the uncomfortable feelings can be somewhat alleviated."

Following their concert in Seoul, (G)I-DLE has embarked on a world tour, with performances scheduled in 14 cities including Hong Kong, Tokyo, Houston, and Bangkok.
