SEOUL, November 13 (Yonhap) --SBS's court drama "One Dollar Lawyer," which highlighted Nam Koong-min's acting skills, ended with a viewing rate of 15%.
According to Nielsen Korea, on November 12, the last episode of "One Dollar Lawyer," which aired on November 11 at 10 p.m., recorded a view rate of 15.2%, the highest rate among all the episodes.
In the last episode of the drama, Cheon Ji-hun (played by Nam Koong-min), a lawyer who takes charge of the case for only one dollar, joined forces with Baek Ma-ri (Kim Ji-eun), the prosecutor’s assistant, and Park Jin-woo to bring JQ Group and Chairman Choi Ki-seok (Joo Suk-tae) to court.
Cheon Ji-hun almost led himself to death to get Choi Ki-seok's confession, and he filmed the scene where he admits his crime with an ultra-miniature camera and makes him get the punishment he had to.
"One Dollar Lawyer" is a court drama depicting Cheon Ji-hun (Nam Koong-min), an odd lawyer who takes cases from poor people just for one dollar. The drama gave a pleasant feeling to the audience by pointing out the irrational nature of society and prejudice.
The highlight of the drama was Nam Koong-min's acting skills. He played Cheon Ji-hun, an eccentric lawyer who does his hair with a curling iron during working hours or asks a jury in court, "Do you dip or pour the sauce of sweet and sour pork?" naturally without seeming excessive.
The drama became somewhat heavy as Chepn Ji-hun unfolded the story of his past, explaining the reason he became a one-dollar lawyer as a lawyer, but Nam Koong-min quickly reversed the atmosphere of the play with his deep emotional acting.
The drama "One Dollar Lawyer," which started with a view rate of 8%, recorded 15% in eight episodes, and since then, it has maintained a high view rate of 13–14%. The drama was initially organized into 14 episodes, but it was shortened to 12 episodes and ended.
