SEOUL, Nov. 15 (Yonhap) -- "Money," a solo hip-hop song released by Lisa of BLACKPINK has surpassed 200 million streams on the music platform Spotify, the singer's management said Sunday.
This record comes after 65 days since the song was released on Sept. 10, according to YG Entertainment.
"Based on records of other K-pop solo singers, 'Money" reached 200 million streams on Spotify in the shortest period," YG Entertainment said. Previously, it took 37 days for the song to hit 100 million streams.
YG reported that "Money" also broke the records set by a female K-pop singer.
The shortest period of achieving 200 million streams among K-pop female singers in Spotify was 87 days, which was set by none other than BLACKPINK's "How You Like That," and Lisa beat the record 22 days earlier.
"Money," one of the songs listed in Lisa's solo album "Lalisa," is known to have attracted fans' attention for its addictive chorus and intense hip-hop sound and swept both local and foreign music charts.
