SEOUL, September 1 (Yonhap) -- South Korean actor Jang Dong-yoon has donated 6 million won to the Ganggu Information High School, located in Yeongdeok County in North Gyeongsang province, announced the school on Thursday.

Actor Jang Dong-yoon is a second son of the 26th principal of Ganggu Information High School Jang Hee-rak.

As the principal Jang Hee-rak retires from his position, his son Jang Dong-yoon decided to donate 6 million won in order to help out with attracting new students and further development of the school just as his father always worked hard to improve the school.

According to the school, Jang Dong-yoon’s donation will be used as a scholarship for freshmen students who enter the school under special screening system of admissions.

Actor Jang Dong-yoon debuted through web drama “Game Development Gils” and starred in upcoming S.Korean movie “Project Wolf Hunting” as a main character. Also he accepted the role in the upcoming Netflix series “Morning Comes to the Mental Ward” and is waiting to go under production.
