SEOUL, December 27 (Yonhap) -- Korean-Japanese actress Hyunri got married with a Japanese actor Keita Machida on December 25, according to the entertainment agency The Truth on December 26.
The two people who worked together in the movies "Cinema Fighters" (2017) and NHK's Japanese drama "A Womanly Life" (literal translation) (2018) met while working and have been together for around five years.
Hyunri delivered her feelings after her marriage, "I am planning to meet my Korean fans through Korean movies and dramas even after the marriage," adding, "I want to play the role of a bridge head for Korean and Japanese culture."
Hyunri was born and raised in Japan and has been working as an actor. She let her presence known to the people of Korea as she appeared in Apple TV+'s "Pachinko" as the Japanese character Kiyo.
