BLACKPINK Lisa's 'Money' performance video surpasses 500 mln YouTube views

SEOUL, March 16 (Yonhap) -- K-pop super girl group BLACKPINK member Lisa's Exclusive Performance Video for "MONEY" has surpassed 500 million YouTube views, according to her agency YG Entertainment on Mar. 16.

The figure reached 173 days after its release on Sept. 24, 2021. 

YG Entertainment said, "This is the fastest K-pop artist's choreography video to reach 500 million views," adding, "BLACKPINK's ‘How You Like That' choreography video, the shortest record, took 183 days to reach 500 million views."

"Money" is a track in Lisa's first solo album "LALISA," and is an impressive song with sophisticated hip-hop sound and confident rap lyrics. The song set a record of going backwards on major charts around the world a month after its release. 

"Money" entered the U.S. Billboard's main singles chart "Hot 100" and the U.K.'s official singles chart "Top 100" for two consecutive weeks, respectively.
