SEOUL, Oct. 26 (Yonhap) -- 1st generation rapper Onesun has dropped a sequel of his hip-hop and Korean traditional music collaborated track “Letter” after 20 years have passed since its release in 2001.
The rapper revealed “2nd letter” at 6 p.m. on the 25th through major music sites, according to the entertainment industry.
The song was originally a track included in his 2001 hip-hop compilation album, “Daebak.” The track gained interest as it sampled gayageum (a Korean traditional zither with 12 strings) master Hwnag Byung-ki’s “Aibogae” to mix hip-hop and Korean traditional music.
“2nd letter” melted in the clear gayagueum sound with R&B sensation.
“This will be a representative Korean style of African-American music carrying Korea’s traditional instrument sound,” said the rapper.
