SEOUL, Feb. 27 (Yonhap) -- Actress Seo Yea-ji, who faced controversy in her private life, will return with tvN’s new drama “Eve.”
“The new series ‘Eve’ confirmed the casting of Seo Yea-ji, Park Byung-eun, Yoo Sun, and Lee Sang-yeob,” said tvN.
“Eve” is a story about a woman who plots revenge for her father’s death.
Seo plays the main role of Lee Ra-el, who plots her father's revenge for 13 years and becomes the center of a divorce lawsuit costing 2 trillion won, between Korea’s top 0.1% couple.
Actress Seo Yea-ji has been accused of school bullying, mistreating staff, and falsifying her educational background.
Seo said through her agency Gold Medalist, “I’m sorry to reach out in writing this late,” adding. “I spent time to look back onto myself, with the reprimands and stories given to me.”
The actress said, “I’m sincerely sorry for causing concerns to many people due to my incompetency,” adding, “I sincerely apologize for causing a lot of disappointment.”
“This all happened due to my immaturity,” adding, “I will try to act more carefully and show the mature side of myself.”
Seo will star in tvN’s upcoming drama “Eve,” which will air this year.
