SEOUL, June 30 (Yonhap) -- BTS' agency sued netizens who have spread false information, made insults or sexually harassed the members.
"Based on the information collected from fans and our own self-monitoring, we have filed a number of complaints," announced Big Hit Music on Wednesday through the fan community platform "Weverse."
Big Hit Music mentioned some of these cases and foretold a strong consequence.
"In the online community 'DC Inside', one publisher used dozens of IPs and posted insults (to the artists)," Big Hit Music said. "We have filed a complaint including repeated insults."
"We have taken legal actions after looking at the defamatory posts which were no near the truth," he said.
Big Hit Music emphasized, "The accused, who is currently under investigation, tried to reach an agreement and requested consultation to avoid harsh punishment, however, there will be no leniency."
"We will continue to take stern measures against these actions without any agreement or leniency," they added, and asked fans to actively report it when they see related contents.
