SEOUL, January 2 (Yonhap) -- SM Entertainment welcomed the Year of the Rabbit by sending a message of solidarity for a sustainable future. 


SM Entertainment provided a lot of entertainment with their agency's artists, ranging from Kangta to NCT, at the free "SM TOWN LIVE 2023" SMCU PALACE @KWANGYA" held on January 1st, starting at 1 p.m.

The concert was live streamed through platforms such as YouTube, Beyond Live, Japan KNTW, Tiktok, and more, and it was held under a concept where artists of SM Entertainment gather at the "SMCU PALACE" which is located in SM Entertainment's virtual space "Kwangya."

 

"It is currently the time when we have to become carbon neutral, solve the global warming problem, and carry out a sustainable future," said Lee Soo-man, chief producer of SM Entertainment, opening the concert. "A better future, for which everyone is hoping, can be built by our own hands." 
 
After the speech of Lee Soo-man, the concert began with the MV of the campaign song "the Cure," expressing the message of solidarity of a sustainable future.  
 
The concert was continued by NCT Dream, which is currently gaining sensational popularity with their recent song "Candy," followed by "Beatbox," and "Hot Sauce."  
 
The concert that was pre-recorded allowed the audience to enjoy the detailed camera work that captured the charm of the artists and the fancy stage effects compared to live performances. 
AESPA performed "Girls," the title song of their second album, showing charisma. 
 
Despite generational differences, SM Entertainment artists collaborated on stages.EXO's KAI, RED VELVET's Seulgi, NCT's Jeno, and AESPA's Karina performed the first collaborated stage of this concert. 


RED VELVET and AESPA performed the song "Beautiful Christmas," and Kangta and Ryewook of SUPER JUNIOR sang "Polaris," Kangta's first album. 
 
Taeyeon, Winter of AESPA, and Changmin of TVXQ performed "Priority" with their calm voices.


Suho, Xiu Min, Chen, Chanyeol, KAI, Sehun. and the seven membered EXO which gathered after a long time showed diverse stages including their "First Snow," and hit songs of SM representative artists such as BOA's "Forgive Me," SUPER JUNIOR's 'SORRY SORRY." and TVXQ's "Destiny." 
 
The highlight of the concert was decorated by the unit "GOT the Beat," which was unveiled at "SM Town 2022: SMCU Express" a year ago.
 
GOT the Beat performed their title song with the same name of their first mini-album, "Stamp On It," which is scheduled to be released on the January 16. 
 
GOT the Beat is a unit group consisting of seven members, including BoA, Taeyeon, Hyoyeon, Seulgi, Wendy, Karina, and Winter, and became popular with their first song "Step Back" released in January of 2022. 
 
SM Town Live is a representative performance brand of SM Entertainment, and the concert that was held in January of last year was loved, recording 51 million streams from 179 regions around the world based on YouTube.
